Today has been busy, busy! We hope you'll forgive us for not writing a detailed update tonight - we hope to fill you in a bit better tomorrow.
In brief, today we have: driven to Montecatini Terme to pick up a hire car, driven home to drop off hire car; dropped in at Chris and Sue's to visit their new arrivals (three tiny chicks that have hatched in their incubator), drink coffee and catch up; done the biggest single supermarket trip we have done since arriving here; cleaned the apartment & changed the linens; picked up the chainsaw we'd ordered a few weeks ago from Mr Chainsaw; driven back into town and visited 4 different shops to buy a dehumidifier, some eye hooks and some washing line; come home to put the geese to bed in the dark (and in thunder & lightning); constructed a 'winter-drying-room' in the downstairs bathroom with aforementioned dehumidifier, eye hooks and washing line; cleaned the bathroom; vacuumed the house, and finally washed up and cooked dinner.
Phew, time for a glass of wine and some dinner before bed. We're planning to be up early tomorrow (for a Sunday) to go and pick Mum and Dad up from the airport. Can't wait!
